A custom backyard remodel for
An Outdoor Living Area
Believe it or not this project was featured on the TV Show Kitchen Crashers!! This backyard ‘Outdoor Kitchen’ (designed and built inside of a storage container that had to be craned into the yard) was inspired by Alison Victoria’s home town of Chicago and a small-town restaurant named Parson’s Chicken & Fish. The inspiration came during the initial meeting between Alison and the homeowner when they found that they both shared love for the game of ping pong. Alison talked with the young single homeowner about a really cool restaurant and hang out in Chicago that she loved to frequent for its great food, leisurely outdoor atmosphere and PING PONG! Brenna decided to help recreate the outdoor oasis in his backyard, equipped with red and white shade umbrellas over picnic tables, a converted sea-container used for an outdoor kitchen and bar (with a sink, countertops and kegerator!) and yes… a custom concrete ping pong table. This table was one of our more unique projects ever built, the final product weighed nearly one ton! The base support was designed with pressure treated 4x8’s and built like a train trestle, all to support a solid 8” thick concrete ping pong table top with a steel frame. This project couldn’t have been anymore ‘outside the box’, which made it one of our more fun designs to work on. One of our favorite projects, this young homeowner was the host of many ping pong tournaments and house parties following this truly unique project.
