A bathroom remodel in

Shingle Springs

Crystal and her husband have a beautiful home in El Dorado Hills but the master bathroom was far from the spa-like retreat is today. This bathroom originally boasted dark green faux-marble solid wall panels, dated brass fixtures and a layout that simply didn’t make sense. Today this bathroom oasis has been completely redesigned to take full advantage of the rooms potential. The entry was reconfigured to allow entry to the master closet from the bathroom area, and to allow the master shower to be expanded with enough room for two, including a second shower head. Angled storage units were squared and raised to allow for a private water closet. Removal of the oversized tub deck made way for a free standing soaker tub and opened the floor space around the area, again creating a more open feeling floorplan. The previous bold fixtures and finishes have been toned down with white and earth tones. Teak accessories give the space some warmth of décor as well as function.
