Summer is almost here and you’re dreaming of a unique backyard outdoor oasis to relax and escape to … here are some ideas!
So, how do you go about creating that relaxing, fun, and comfortable space as you see all over Pinterest? Or maybe you’ve visited a friend’s home with an outdoor kitchen, comfy furniture, fireplace, and amazing lighting accents – wondering how do you get THAT? There are so many little things you can do that will instantly transform your space, and many DIY projects you can take on that will create the full effect of a backyard oasis.
Here are some quick and inexpensive ways to transform your backyard or patio:
- Find an outdoor rug that will fit your space.
- Buy or build your own patio firepit.
- Add a cover and decor with a pergola that fits your style and needs. You can find some inexpensive ones on Wayfair with many under $500, or you can easily build your own. If a pergola is a little out of your range, go for an oversized umbrella. See examples of both below.
- Outdoor seating can also get pretty expensive, but it’s a necessity. If you’re watching your budget, go for the DIY solution and build your own outdoor chairs, benches, or even sofas and tables. There are so many free building plans available, just search and find the right ones for you.
We’ve had the honor of creating some really cool backyards. One was even featured on the TV show Kitchen Crashers, and another outdoor patio living area was featured on House Crashers!
